Where Profit Becomes Purpose
Manee Foundation is a Section 8 registered non-profit company that permanently holds 26% equity in every BARREL Group company — including all subsidiaries, associate companies, and SPVs. This equity stake is non-dilutable and non-transferable. No matter how large BARREL grows, Manee Foundation's ownership never reduces below 26%.
This is not CSR. This is structural philanthropy — woven permanently into BARREL's ownership fabric. Every rupee of dividend, every unit of value created by BARREL, automatically flows 26% to Manee Foundation's programs for the communities of India.
Manee Foundation operates with full transparency and independent governance, with its own Board of Trustees separate from BARREL's commercial management. Its mandate: channel BARREL's growth into lasting, measurable human and environmental impact.

From a 1 MW rooftop solar SPV to a 500 MW grid-scale storage project — every entity in the BARREL Group is structured with Manee Foundation holding a permanent, non-dilutable 26% equity stake. This is the most significant structural commitment to social impact by any energy company in India. Every BARREL project is simultaneously a clean energy project and a community endowment.

Host Community Partnership Program
Villages and Gram Panchayats within 10 km of any BARREL project are automatically enrolled as Host Community Partners — with specific benefits committed in writing before project commissioning.
Community Land Participation
Land-owning farmers and community groups near BARREL projects can participate as land aggregators — with transparent lease agreements, fair rates, and guaranteed income for 25–40 years.
Local Employment Guarantee
BARREL commits to prioritise local community members for construction work, O&M roles, security, housekeeping, and logistics during project development and long-term operations.
Community Solar Access Program
Villages adjacent to BARREL's solar and wind projects receive priority access to affordable clean electricity — through community offtake arrangements, mini-grid connections, or PM-KUSUM facilitation.
Education & Scholarship Program
Children of land-owning families and host community members receive preferential access to Manee Foundation's education grants, smart classroom installations, and scholarship programs.
Gram Panchayat Partnership
Manee Foundation formally partners with Gram Panchayats in project areas — signing Community Development Agreements (CDAs) that commit specific infrastructure and social investments as part of every BARREL project.
