๐Ÿ’พ Refund & Return Policy

BARREL and its group companies supply industrial, commercial, and infrastructure-grade products. Our refund and return policy reflects the nature of these products โ€” manufactured to order, custom specifications, or bulk supply โ€” and differs from consumer retail return policies.

๐Ÿ“Œ Please read carefully before placing an order

5.1 General Principles

๐Ÿ”Œ Key Principles of Our Return Policy:

  • Most BARREL products are manufactured-to-order or custom-engineered โ€” standard returns are not available for such products
  • Returns are accepted ONLY for defective products confirmed as such by BARREL's quality team
  • Buyer must report issues within 7 days of delivery โ€” no returns accepted after this period without BARREL's written waiver
  • Products must be returned in original, unused condition with full documentation
  • Return freight costs are borne by the buyer unless the return is due to BARREL's manufacturing defect (confirmed in writing)

5.2 Products Eligible for Return / Replacement

  • Confirmed manufacturing defect: Product does not meet agreed specification โ€” proven by inspection or test report
  • Wrong product despatched: BARREL despatched a different product from what was ordered per the confirmed sales order
  • Transit damage: Damage clearly attributable to BARREL's packing or BARREL-arranged logistics (supported by photographic evidence and transporter report)
  • Under-quantity supply: Shortage of quantity confirmed by delivery receipt โ€” replacement of shortage only

5.3 Non-Returnable Products

  • Custom-engineered or made-to-order products (MTO) โ€” including special voltage, special rating, custom dimension products
  • Ecstasy Solar PV Modules โ€” sold in bulk โ€” not returnable for reasons other than manufacturing defect
  • Products that have been installed, modified, or damaged after delivery
  • Products without original packaging, labels, serial numbers, or test documentation
  • Products returned beyond 7 days of delivery without BARREL's prior written approval
  • Software, firmware, licences, and digital products โ€” no returns
  • Products damaged due to improper storage, installation, or use
  • Consumables โ€” transformer oil, fuses, gaskets, sealants โ€” not returnable

5.4 Return Process

  1. Contact BARREL's sales team within 7 calendar days of delivery: returns@barrel.energy
  2. Provide: Order number, invoice number, detailed description of defect, photographs, test reports (if any)
  3. BARREL's quality team will acknowledge within 3 business days and arrange inspection if required
  4. If defect is confirmed: BARREL will issue a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number
  5. Return the product to the designated BARREL facility with the RMA number clearly marked on packaging
  6. Replacement despatch or credit note will be processed within 15 business days of receiving the returned goods

Refunds are processed as follows:

  • Product replacement: Preferred resolution for manufacturing defects โ€” BARREL replaces the defective unit or batch

  • Cash refund: Only where replacement and credit note are not feasible โ€” processed within 30 days by NEFT/RTGS to buyer's bank account as per invoice

โœŠ Ethics, Anti-Bribery & Whistleblower Policy

BARREL and the StenJaan Global Group are committed to the highest standards of ethical conduct, transparency, and integrity in all business dealings. These commitments are non-negotiable and apply to all directors, officers, employees, contractors, vendors, and business partners.

โœ… Zero Tolerance for Corruption

8.1 Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption

BARREL strictly prohibits the offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of any bribe, kickback, facilitation payment, or anything of value to obtain or retain business advantage โ€” whether in dealings with government officials, private sector counterparts, customers, or suppliers. This applies in India and in all countries where we operate or export.

BARREL complies with the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 (India), the UK Bribery Act 2010 (for international dealings), the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) for US-linked transactions, and equivalent laws in all jurisdictions where we operate.

8.2 Conflicts of Interest

All directors, employees, and contractors must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest to the management. This includes situations where personal financial interests, family relationships, or outside business activities could influence โ€” or be perceived to influence โ€” their professional judgment in BARREL's affairs.

8.3 Gifts & Hospitality

Gifts and hospitality in the course of business are permitted only where they are: reasonable in value (not exceeding โ‚น5,000 per occasion), transparent and properly recorded, not intended to influence business decisions, and permissible under the policies of the recipient's organisation. Gifts of cash, cash equivalents, or gift cards are never acceptable.

8.4 Whistleblower Protection

BARREL encourages all stakeholders โ€” employees, vendors, contractors, customers, and members of the public โ€” to report any concern about unethical conduct, fraud, bribery, corruption, safety violations, financial irregularities, or any other misconduct relating to BARREL's operations.

๐Ÿ“ž How to Report:

Email: ethics@barrel.energy (monitored by independent committee)

Confidential Post: Whistleblower Committee, BARREL Corporate Office, [Address]

Anonymous reporting: Anonymous submissions are accepted. However, providing contact details helps us investigate effectively.

Whistleblowers who report concerns in good faith are protected from retaliation, disciplinary action, or adverse employment consequences. Victimisation of whistleblowers is itself a serious disciplinary offence. Malicious or false reporting may result in disciplinary or legal action.

8.5 Social Responsibility & Manee Foundation

BARREL's 26% permanent non-dilutable equity is held by the Manee Foundation (Section 8 not-for-profit company), ensuring that a significant portion of BARREL's commercial success is permanently directed toward social, community, and environmental purpose โ€” not personal wealth accumulation. This structure is a cornerstone of BARREL's corporate ethics and governance architecture.

  • Destination country import regulations and certification requirements

9.2 End-Use Verification

BARREL reserves the right to verify the intended end-use and end-user of exported products. Export orders may be declined if there are reasonable grounds to believe the products may be diverted to prohibited end-uses, sanctioned parties, or restricted destinations. Buyers must provide true and accurate end-user declarations.

9.3 Export Documentation

All exports comply with documentary requirements including: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading / Airway Bill, Certificate of Origin (preferential or non-preferential), Country-of-Origin Certificate (for preferential tariff), Test and Quality Certificates, and any destination-country specific documentation (CE declaration, BIS, UL, CEC as applicable).
