These terms govern the purchase, supply, installation, and use of all products manufactured, imported, traded, or distributed by BARREL and its group companies โ including solar modules (Ecstasy), power electronics (VOLTIQ), structural steel (Niccau Energy Infra), cables, transformers, trackers, and all balance-of-system products. Additional terms may apply for specific product categories.
โ Applies to all commercial transactions4.1 Order & Contract Formation
All orders are subject to written confirmation by BARREL or the relevant group company. An order is deemed accepted only upon:
- BARREL's issuance of a formal written Order Confirmation / Sales Order
- Both parties executing a Purchase Order / Contract / Work Order
- Receipt of advance payment where stipulated in the quotation
Verbal commitments, email discussions, and website enquiry responses do not constitute a binding contract unless confirmed in writing by an authorised BARREL representative.
4.2 Pricing & Payment Terms
- All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise specified in writing
- Export prices may be quoted in USD, EUR, or AED as agreed
- All prices are exclusive of GST, customs duties, and other applicable taxes unless explicitly stated
- Standard payment: 30% advance with order; 60% against proforma invoice before despatch; 10% within 30 days of delivery
- For government / DISCOM / PSU orders: As per purchase order payment terms
- Late payments attract interest at 2% per month on the outstanding amount
- BARREL reserves the right to withhold delivery if payment milestones are not met
4.3 Delivery & Risk
- Ex-Works (EXW): Risk transfers to buyer when product is made available at BARREL's factory gate unless otherwise agreed
- CIF / DDP: Available for export orders through DomEx TradLink โ per separate export contract
- Delivery timelines are estimates and may be affected by raw material availability, force majeure, and statutory clearances
- BARREL will notify buyer of any material delay. Buyer may not cancel for delays beyond BARREL's reasonable control
- Goods remain BARREL's property until full payment is received (Retention of Title)
4.4 Inspection & Acceptance
- Buyer must inspect goods within 7 calendar days of delivery
- Defects must be reported in writing within this 7-day period with clear documentary evidence
- Failure to raise written objections within 7 days constitutes acceptance of goods
- Third-party inspection (TPI) available โ costs borne by buyer unless otherwise agreed in writing
- Products tested and certified at BARREL's facility are presumed to comply unless TPI proves otherwise

- Products not stored and transported per BARREL's specified conditions

4.6 Limitation of Liability โ Products & Services
BARREL's total liability under any contract for products or services shall not exceed the total value paid by the buyer for the specific products giving rise to the claim. BARREL shall not be liable for indirect losses including loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of production, or consequential damages however arising.
4.7 Force Majeure
BARREL shall not be liable for delay or failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control including: acts of God, war, civil unrest, government action, pandemic, strike, lockout, power failure, natural disaster, or shortage of raw materials. BARREL will notify buyer promptly of force majeure events.
4.8 Technical Advice & Application Guidance
Technical advice, sizing guidance, application recommendations, and design assistance provided by BARREL's team โ whether verbally, in writing, or through our website โ are provided in good faith based on information supplied by the buyer. BARREL does not warrant that such advice is free from error. The buyer bears final responsibility for all design decisions, product selection, and installation compliance.
4.9 Export & Import Compliance
Products exported through DomEx TradLink or directly by BARREL are subject to Indian export control regulations (SCOMET list), destination country import regulations, and applicable sanctions. Buyer must ensure they are not on any restricted party list. BARREL reserves the right to decline any order that may violate export control laws.

BARREL and its group companies supply industrial, commercial, and infrastructure-grade products. Our refund and return policy reflects the nature of these products โ manufactured to order, custom specifications, or bulk supply โ and differs from consumer retail return policies.

- Most BARREL products are manufactured-to-order or custom-engineered โ standard returns are not available for such products
- Returns are accepted ONLY for defective products confirmed as such by BARREL's quality team
- Buyer must report issues within 7 days of delivery โ no returns accepted after this period without BARREL's written waiver
- Products must be returned in original, unused condition with full documentation
- Return freight costs are borne by the buyer unless the return is due to BARREL's manufacturing defect (confirmed in writing)
5.2 Products Eligible for Return / Replacement
- Confirmed manufacturing defect: Product does not meet agreed specification โ proven by inspection or test report
- Wrong product despatched: BARREL despatched a different product from what was ordered per the confirmed sales order
- Transit damage: Damage clearly attributable to BARREL's packing or BARREL-arranged logistics (supported by photographic evidence and transporter report)
- Under-quantity supply: Shortage of quantity confirmed by delivery receipt โ replacement of shortage only
5.3 Non-Returnable Products
- Custom-engineered or made-to-order products (MTO) โ including special voltage, special rating, custom dimension products
- Ecstasy Solar PV Modules โ sold in bulk โ not returnable for reasons other than manufacturing defect
- Products that have been installed, modified, or damaged after delivery
- Products without original packaging, labels, serial numbers, or test documentation
- Products returned beyond 7 days of delivery without BARREL's prior written approval
- Software, firmware, licences, and digital products โ no returns
- Products damaged due to improper storage, installation, or use
- Consumables โ transformer oil, fuses, gaskets, sealants โ not returnable
5.4 Return Process
- Contact BARREL's sales team within 7 calendar days of delivery: returns@barrel.energy
- Provide: Order number, invoice number, detailed description of defect, photographs, test reports (if any)
- BARREL's quality team will acknowledge within 3 business days and arrange inspection if required
- If defect is confirmed: BARREL will issue a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number
- Return the product to the designated BARREL facility with the RMA number clearly marked on packaging
- Replacement despatch or credit note will be processed within 15 business days of receiving the returned goods
5.5 Refund Processing
Refunds are processed as follows:
- Product replacement: Preferred resolution for manufacturing defects โ BARREL replaces the defective unit or batch
- Credit note: Issued against future purchases where replacement is not appropriate
- Cash refund: Only where replacement and credit note are not feasible โ processed within 30 days by NEFT/RTGS to buyer's bank account as per invoice
- Advance refunds: Where BARREL is unable to fulfil an order โ refund of advance paid within 30 days of written cancellation

9.2 End-Use Verification
BARREL reserves the right to verify the intended end-use and end-user of exported products. Export orders may be declined if there are reasonable grounds to believe the products may be diverted to prohibited end-uses, sanctioned parties, or restricted destinations. Buyers must provide true and accurate end-user declarations.
9.3 Export Documentation
All exports comply with documentary requirements including: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading / Airway Bill, Certificate of Origin (preferential or non-preferential), Country-of-Origin Certificate (for preferential tariff), Test and Quality Certificates, and any destination-country specific documentation (CE declaration, BIS, UL, CEC as applicable).
9.4 Anti-Dumping Compliance
BARREL prices all exported products at fair market value in compliance with WTO anti-dumping rules and does not engage in dumping (selling below cost in export markets). All export prices are documented and defensible as arm's-length commercial transactions.

BARREL is committed to resolving concerns from customers, vendors, business partners, employees, and the community fairly, transparently, and within defined timelines. This policy describes how to raise a grievance and what to expect from the process.
10.1 Who Can Raise a Grievance

10.3 Grievance Resolution Timeline

10.4 Dispute Resolution
Where a grievance cannot be resolved through BARREL's internal process, the parties agree to:
- Mediation: In good faith mediation facilitated by an independent mediator mutually agreed upon by both parties โ 30-day period
- Arbitration: If mediation fails โ binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996 (India) โ seat of arbitration: Pune, Maharashtra โ English language โ single arbitrator unless both parties agree to three
- Courts: If arbitration is waived by mutual agreement โ exclusive jurisdiction of Courts at Pune, Maharashtra, India
10.5 Consumer Forum Rights
Where BARREL's products or services are purchased for personal, household, or family use (consumer transactions under the Consumer Protection Act 2019), consumers retain all rights under that Act, including the right to file complaints before the relevant Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. Nothing in this policy limits those statutory rights.
